Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads, grandfathers and father figures across Englewood and the South Side!

We celebrate the strength, guidance and love you pour into your families every single day. Today is not only a celebration of what you do for your loved ones, but a reminder to extend that level of care and support to your own health and wellness too.

Loving your family means being there for them in the future. Because many chronic conditions like high blood pressure, cancer and diabetes develop quietly without any early symptoms, routine checkups are vital.

St. Bernard is here for all of your medical needs, including screenings, blood pressure checks and colorectal cancer screens. Schedule an appointment with our staff by calling 773-962-4075 or visiting www.stbh.org.

It’s World Sickle Cell Awareness Day and on Juneteenth we’re bringing awareness to the nearly 100,000 people in the U.S. currently living with sickle cell disease (SCD), 90% of whom are Black Americans.

This chronic inherited blood disorder causes rigid, crescent-shaped cells to block necessary blood flow, leading to severe pain crises, anemia and organ damage.

For people living with SCD, there is a notable gap in treatment equity that has left many patients facing dismissed symptoms and stigmatization.

We, at St. Bernard Hospital, see you and are here to close that gap in protection and care.

Early screening saves lives. If your family is impacted by SCD, regular medical check-ups and routine screenings are your strongest defense against complications.

Connect with our team to schedule an appointment and receive the treatment you need. Visit www.stbh.org or call (773) 962-4075.

It’s Juneteenth and today we are celebrating the long journey toward freedom, resilience and enduring spirit for Black Americans, including our friends and neighbors across Englewood and the South Side.

At St. Bernard Hospital, liberation also includes health equity. We have and will continue to break down the racial barriers in our nation and prioritize full attention to our patients’ and community needs; it’s what they deserve.

We hope you all have a joyful, safe and healthy holiday!

Did you know that, according to the Men’s Health Network, men, on average, die nearly six years earlier than women?

A large part of this gap comes down to preventable conditions, like hypertension, heart disease and colorectal cancer. Without priority to better health management, these conditions will go undetected until it’s too late.

This June, let’s change the story. Prioritizing health isn’t a sign of weakness, it’s an investment in your future and the people you love.

Routine screenings and checkups save lives. Don’t wait for symptoms to appear to see a doctor. St. Bernard is here to make health management easier and more attainable.

Schedule an appointment with us today by calling (773)-962-4075 or visit www.stbh.org.
