Red Bay Coffee Roasters keeps our Juneteenth drips flowing every year. We snagged some bags and will be brewing them all weekend. Come get a cup!
***************
This year’s offering comes from Kenya’s Kericho County, where 430 smallholder farmers organized through the Boma Farmers Cooperative Society cultivate coffee in the fertile volcanic soils of western Kenya.
In the cup, you’ll find vibrant notes of juicy hibiscus and ripe cherry balanced by warm baking spice and a smooth caramel sweetness. The result is a coffee that is bright, expressive, and layered with complexity from the first sip to the last.
Grown at elevations ranging from 1,550 to 1,950 meters above sea level and fully washed before drying on raised beds, this coffee showcases the clarity and character that have made Kenyan coffees some of the most celebrated in the world.
Roast Level: Light-Medium
Origin: Kericho County, Kenya
Process: Fully Washed
Thank you, Red Bay Coffee Roasters !
Happy Juneteenth!❤️🖤💚

I took a break from the cafe this weekend to hang with my industry peeps at Coffee Fest Trade Shows.
Here’s a small highlight of me being a tourist in my city as I make my way through Navy Pier.

Mother’s Day is around the corner so is our fifth annual Mother’s Day ($FR.EE) plant giveaway in honor of my mom! 🪴
•
One of my mom’s favorite plants was the Pothos plant. On Saturday, May 9th in memory of her; purchase any size latté and get her favorite plant for $FR.EE (one plant per order)! There will be a limited supply so the early worms will definitely get this plant. If you’re not a plant mama/papa for sure feel free to give it to your favorite plant mama/person. Over the years we’ve LOVED hearing your growth stories and we look forward to many more of them. I am so grateful and it makes my heart smile seeing how this giveaway has grown over the years. I thank you all, kindly for putting so much joy in this yearly honor. 🌻☕️
•
Here are some tips for growing your Pothos:
~Grow pothos indoors, preferably with bright, not direct light, although it also will tolerate low-light conditions.
~Pothos likes to have its soil dry out between waterings. A watering indicator is when leaves slightly droop. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent soggy soil.
~If you choose to fertilize, do so with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every 1-2 months during the growing season (spring/summer). Thank you for contributing some of your propagations and yellow pots again this year. You’re appreciated. 💛
•
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mom’s and Mom’s to be! ✨
We honor the Mom’s that are no longer with us! 🕯️

AndySunflower Café is more than a coffee shop. We stand and support community in the best way.
We at AndySunflower Café just like some of you may have heard about the Morgan Park High School Marching Band in need of funding. Lack of funds have forced the school/band leadership to cancel important travels due to this issue.
We are partnering with Morgan Park High School to help bridge a funding gap. So here’s how you can help us help them. Starting tomorrow and throughout the month of April, a portion of AndySunflower Café sales will go to help the Morgan Park High School Marching Band. You can simply make an in-store or online purchase of any of our products. You can also donate through our QR attached to this post. It will also be linked in our bio and promoted throughout the entire month of April.
Back story: I was a part of my marching band during my high school years. This was once my life so I know first hand the importance of funding. I traveled across the country for some amazing opportunities through music. Back then fundraising wasn’t as savvy as it is today with GoFundMe or QR codes to collect funds for support. Let us all be the village that won’t allow these students to miss another grand opportunity to take their music outside of their community and beyond.
Please feel free to share this post and our donation link. Thank you in advance for your donations.

The torch is on for our Crème Brûlée latte. 🔥
Crème Brûlée is a classic French dessert (translating to “burnt cream”). We’re transferring it into a cup in the form of a latte…or should we say a delicious latte.
Be ready to indulge in the creamiest vanilla notes topped with our house~made cream and house seasoning blend. Our bold espresso makes this latte a 10/10. But, you be the judge.
Served hot only
Making its Spring debut tomorrow, March 27th.
