🎉 We’re thrilled to officially kick off the AI+Science Summer School 2026!

Graduate students and postdocs across disciplines are joining us to explore the emerging field of AI+Science. Throughout this week, participants will attend lectures from field experts, engage in interactive tutorial sessions on groundbreaking tools, share their work, and engage in the growing AI+Science community

The AI+Science Summer School, now in its fifth year, is building community across institutions and spurring new research directions focused on AI-enabled scientific discovery across the physical and biological sciences. The program is organized by the Eric and Wendy Schmidt AI in Science Fellowship program at the University of Chicago and the UChicago Data Science Institute. The AI + Science Summer School is co-hosted by NITMB and the NSF-Simons AI Institute for the Sky (SkAI) at the John Hancock Center in downtown Chicago

Diving deeper into our discussion of internal conflicts and organismal adaptation

Today, participants in the Internal Conflicts and Organismal Adaptation: Mathematical Foundations workshop continued our exploration into internal conflicts and their implications for organismal biology. In an effort to close this knowledge gap, participants are collaborating to discover mathematical frameworks that can help make sense of organismal biology in the face of internal conflicts and meet the need for a formal theory of internal conflict

As we wrap up the workshop, we're grateful for all the participants, speakers, and organizers joining us at NITMB to develop the future of mathematics of internal conflict

We hope to see you at NITMB again soon!
