This was the first recording project I was a part of after the lockdowns. It means so much to see Harry James killin' it and releasing all this music. The video for, "Heartstrings," is adorable, and the recording is a wonderful tribute to Dan Jungle 💖

I kinda feel like I need to put it out in the universe that I'm not taking on any new projects until mid-March. It's as much for me to say it to myself as it is to say it to everyone else.

I'm sure there will be exceptions, but I don't think I've ever set a boundary like this two months in advance lol.

I say, "yes," to too many things. I've always done this, so it's a decades old habit I'm trying to overcome. I especially did it when I first moved to Chicago, because I wanted to be involved.

The problem is that I never stopped saying, "yes," all the time. It's gotten me some really cool and amazing opportunities. And I genuinely think your project is cool and I wanna help.

But....I got my own visions for my own projects, and for how I want to spend my own time. Working hard on protecting that this year.

If you want me to be a part of your thing, I'm closed until March! Love you!

I didn't make a big deal about it on the internet, but I returned to H***y Tonk Bbq last night to perform ragtime during the breaks of the

Summer of 2021 going into 2022 was a very strange year for me pianistically. I took the longest break from piano that I've taken in a long time. Yesterday I realized that I actually hadn't played piano publicly since November 2021.

But lately I've been feeling motivated again. I knew the break wasn't me quitting. It's just like a long term relationship where sometimes you need more space than others. I needed lots of space.

I don't wanna jinx it, but I definitely aim to return to H***y Tonk more often, and return to my love of stride piano and ragtime.
