CREAMY AVOCADO FUDGESICLES: Makes 6 Frozen Pops

Ingredients: 2 small avocados; 1 cup of coconut milk; 1/3 cup raw, unfiltered honey; 1 tsp vanilla extract; 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder.

Halve avocados lengthwise and remove the seed. Scoop flesh into a food processor. Add remaining ingredients and puree until smooth and creamy. Transfer mixture to a popsicle mold and insert sticks. Freeze for 2 hours or overnight. Unmold and serve.

Nutritional Info: 189 calories per serving; 3 grams protein; 14 grams of fat; 19 grams of carbs; 4 grams of fiber.

The obesity rate has more than doubled since 1980, but the overall rate remained level in every state in 2012, except for Arkansas.

The "leveling off" is being attributed to reduced soft drink consumption, eating more fruit, and better informed choices by Americans.

Sales of diet soda have decreased more than "regular" soda for the past 3 years; consumers cite health fears from artificial sweeteners as the primary reason.

Coke and Pepsi are reducing their use of aspartame and adopting stevia and new diet sweeteners in reaction to consumer concerns in this area.
