Two pieces of art I've never shown, which I painted 4 years ago., these are portraits of my Dad at the end of his life.

Painting for me is how I process my life, it's a diary of where I am, sometimes its joyous & othertimes it's raw & painful. I tend to share my joy with everyone & keep the heavier emotions only for a select few. I've since realized that in sharing the trials of your life, it can be healing for others (as well as self).

Honoring each stage of life is nourishment for the soul. Life can be messy & also very sweet. With each experience, hopefully we grow, become more whole and find that place deep within that says "You are loved".

Time to spice up my life with a little culture. I'll be at the Symphony tonight in Elgin at Hemmens Cultural Center displaying my art in the Lobby. Fun!!😊

The Alston Chicago in River North has stepped up to host the wedding of Kaity & Robbie when they had to cancel their wedding plans in Mexico. The couple had less the a week to plan a whole wedding. The wedding scene in Chicago has a big heart & is helping them create their perfect day ❤️
I am also gifting them a wedding painting, so I'll be there all night Friday painting at their reception 😊
