SCAM ALERT

To our fellow restaurant owners:

We just received a call from a woman who identified herself as Teresa Johnson. Phone number 302-553-6226. She said she had visited our restaurant, ordered 2 lbs of brisket to go, and discovered when she got home that it was 2 lbs of pulled pork. She said that she lived out of town and spoke to an owner that night who said that we would take care of her next time she was in town (we would never handle it that way). She said that at the time she thought she would be back in town soon, but now knows that she won't be and she wanted a refund. She claims to have paid cash.

We looked through our system and did not find any order that fit her description. Further, we looked at our phone logs and saw that she had never called the restaurant before until today.

Lots of signs that this was a scam. Still, we were going to send her a refund on the off-chance that she was telling the truth. Then we Googled the number and saw this post. Same everything! Thanks Leona's. We owe you one!
