Preparations for "FORWARD", our 2025 year end Showcase are in full swing.

🌟For all of Tatyana's classes and Chicago City Classical Ballet company members: Reminder that dress rehearsal for Raymonda is this Sunday, June 8 at Extensions Dance beginning with class at 9AM.

“Extension’s Dance hasn’t just been a new studio for me, it’s been an incredible experience and opportunity that I’m forever grateful for. More than technique, I gained confidence with my movement and how I express myself. When I first took class I stood in the back, hiding myself. Lizzie told me “Brinley, stop settling” and this stuck with me. She was able to push me out of my comfort zone because she saw something in me that I didn’t even see in myself.

My biggest takeaway from my time at Extensions is definitely the sense of community. Even with it being my first and last year here, I felt so welcomed and accepted.

I want to thank Lizzie and Jackie for everything that they provided for me. They helped me grow as a dancer and a person and they gave me all the tools and guidance to help me pursue my goals. I also want to thank my biggest supporters throughout my entire journey, my Mom and Dad. They helped me through every obstacle that I encountered and pushed me in the best way, even when I would give attitude.

I'm forever grateful for the amount of connections and friendships that I was able to make in just a year. I will always remember the memories we all created in the studio together. Thank you for making me feel apart of a family EXD🩷”

"I came to Extensions at nine years old, worried that it was too late to become a great dancer. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Not only did I have nearly half my life at EXD ahead of me, but I also found a second home and family that would change me forever.

From day one, I was surrounded by people who pushed me, supported me, and inspired me—not just as a dancer, but as a person and I wholeheartedly believe that Lizzie’s mentorship has shaped me in every way. Since I was young, she’s enlightened me with the concept that defines the difference between dancing and DANCING—where the latter means putting your entire soul and self into it, not just going through the motions with your body. Extensions taught me how to be a hard worker, to embrace the struggle, and to find joy in the effort. I've learned to meet challenges with grit and love the process of growth – that mindset will stay with me far beyond the studio.

I am also endlessly grateful to Jackie, Lauren and the rest of the EXD faculty. And to every dancer at Extensions, you’ve become my best friends and my favorite people in the world. You are my chosen family. As I move on to this next chapter, I’m taking everything I’ve learned at EXD with me. I truly have Extensions to thank for helping me become the person I am today. I’ll definitely be back to this place I call home!
