As a born and raised Chicagoan, I am grateful to the communities and neighborhoods here that have supported me and shaped who I am. Giving back to this city and to the next generation is personal. Tournament of Champions VII is just around the corner, and Guy Fieri is back with the qualifier rounds. Across eight intense matchups, 16 chefs fight for the final eight positions in the main TOC VII bracket. Each round features two chefs chosen at random, going head-to-head. Victory means a ticket into the tournament while defeat means heading home before TOC VII even begins.

thank you and team for hosting my team this week. Rarely do I get to have all my chefs, gms, and dog squad all in one spot at once, and to share a table and meal in beautiful setting with them is truly special. The warm genuine hospitality was incredible and inspiring.

started with a stage in rome 8 years ago, then an idea, that became a dream and reality, happy first bday !!!

This place has helped me watch line cooks become chefs for the first time, agms, become gms, my son turn 7, and brought some many incredible people into my life, in our teams and our guest. Ushered in an era of and shown that Chicago loves Rome.

Not without our challenges, our stumbles, but 365 days in, she’s better today than she’s ever been bc of the team that has pushed since jump to get it there, and can’t thank you all enough, this s**t is a dream and it fu***ng rules

It takes a village to do it, and i have the best one, from my team, to my partners, to my home squad keeping me sane, to all the home squads of my team keeping them sane, purveyors, farmers, regulars, and family that make this all happen, I can’t thank you enough.

It’s never easy, but man I can’t believe I got to open a restaurant again in the city I love, and the hours may be long but this crew made it damn fun. Was stressful as s**t but also spent a lot of time laughing my ass off with the peope i’m lucky enough to have around me
