Replying to Sorry I don’t answer this one more frequently! The eggs are actually very secure! They are stuck together with “glue” created by momma!

Replying to .is.laly Unedited uncut video showing our repetitions. We do this same thing all day, every day we go. This is slightly slower than our normal pace due to camera handling while hauling, but it gives you an idea of how repetive it is. When fishing is slow it can be a monotonous process. But overall the pros are better than the cons and having you guys following along truly does make the slow times more enjoyable! We’re always on the lookout for interesting things to share!

Replying to We don’t lose traps very often. When we do it costs us a lot of money! For that reason we do everything we can to get them back. Grapples are a very effective way of doing that. In this case it took us about 15 minutes to save 800$ and 4 tags! In the rare even traps are lost forever there are biodegradable escape vents the open and let everything in the trap out. Essentially creating habitat. #207

If you’re new to the page these are land birds! They arent suppose to be offshore. We pick them up occasionally after northerly winds and give them rides to land. But this was something much different than we’ve ever seen! What is going on??

07/23/2025

Replying to Typically these birds just get blown offshore in small numbers. But there is something much bigger going on here. There was 100s of thousands of birds along the Maine coast a couple days ago. Seems like it must be something to do with hurricane lee. #207
