The worst case scenario for landscape drainage is shaping up tomorrow: frozen ground; lots of snow; warming temps; and rain. Make sure your exterior drains are clear today by shoveling the snow away. I just poured boiling hot water down my exterior drains to make sure they are flowing. You want the melting snow and rain to go down the rains and not towards your house! As for your roof gutters - not my area of expertise, sorry!

If you are worried about the extreme temperatures on your garden plants, take some comfort in that fact that the snowfall that came before the cold acts a great insulator not to mention also keeping the soil moist.
