🔥I’m thrilled to be back at Chicago’s longest running institution of house music culture, this time with Apart Artists.

💥It’s an honor to bring together Ghetto House pioneer DJ Slugo, Footwork innovator Jana Rush, maestro Jevon Jackson, and the intergalactic MC Zulu for our first Apart Presents in Chicago.

💗It feels very meaningful to collaborate with this historic venue that I have such a long history with, in this beautiful city, the home of House Music.

💃🏻We truly look forward to seeing and dancing with you!

Controversial opinion: in an industry that routinely overlooks Black women and vocalists, consider picking anything other than an infamous powerhouse Black Chicago woman’s vocal to joke about and denigrate (“never need to hear that track again” posts, eye roll when a dj drops it…). Celebrate the f**k out of that success and proliferation! Celebrate a Black woman in house getting paid!!

My dream booth has CDJs and mixer individually mounted with hardware that allows fluid omnidirectional movement, including tilt. How would cable management work? Very carefully 😅 Anyone built something like this before?
