Just My Imagination is presented by NT Studio Inc; a Lakeview based studio focused on comprehensive dance training for youth. The performances this weekend are designed to highlight the talents of the dedicated and accomplished artists who train at the school. Just My Imagination was curated by Artistic Director Nancy Teinowitz, a veteran teacher and choreographer who has watched her students successfully move on to perform on Broadway, television, and in film. We are happy to present works by our Artist-in-residence Drew Lewis, guest artist Melissa Metro, as well as those by Ms. Teinowitz.

Due to new management, our current parking procedures at Newberry Parking Garage and chaser cards will no longer be valid. At this time, the new parking access process has not yet been finalized or rolled out by the garage operator. We understand that this uncertainty may be inconvenient, and we appreciate your patience while the transition is completed. ONSTAGE AT RUTH PAGE

Join Chicago Repertory Ballet for an exhilarating Spring Series that celebrates repertory, reinvention, and bold new voices. Anchoring the program is the remounting of Founding Artistic Director Wade Schaaf’s The Rite of Spring, set to Igor Stravinsky’s watershed score.

CRB has not performed this ballet since its striking 2021 presentation on Crickett Hill, and we are thrilled to bring this monumental work to the stage at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts. Drawing inspiration from the Ballets Russes era while infusing it with CRB’s contemporary classical sensibility, Schaaf’s Rite is visceral, ritualistic, and theatrically charged — a work that honors tradition while boldly reinterpreting it for today’s audiences.

The program also features a world premiere by choreographer Yanis Eric Pikieris. Known for his sweeping physicality and intricate musicality, Pikieris crafts movement that is both architecturally precise and emotionally expansive. His choreography demands virtuosity while revealing the humanity of each dancer — an arresting combination that has quickly distinguished his voice.

Also on the program is a world premiere by Founding Artistic Director Wade Schaaf. Schaaf’s work has been described as “musically sophisticated and dramatically immediate,” blending structural rigor with an unflinching theatrical instinct. This new creation continues his exploration of contemporary classical form, pushing the company’s artists both technically and expressively.

This limited three-performance engagement promises urgency, innovation, and the powerful theatricality that defines Chicago Repertory Ballet.
