Yes, I know it’s just pictures of the objects. Sorry I didn’t want to drag my knockoff Le Creuset all the way to the shelter and I’m fresh out of percolators. Sue me.

Happy Furever Home Friday!
This dapper little man is Hiroshi. He is well aware that he’s handsome, and tiny, and adorable; but don’t let that stop you from telling him how great he is!
This little dude has settled right into his furever home. In fact his person told us he’s super chill! Because she makes and sells bunny-themed products, Hiroshi is a working bun… quality control is a very important job!!

🌈 Today we remember Charlie, formally known as Papa Ru, a little spotted gentleman who packed a lot of of life into his short time on earth.

In 2020, fellow rabbit rescued Liz R. took in a mom, dad and two litters of babies. She wrote, "He was always very good with the kids. When mama was giving birth he was very concerned and excited. I had mama and papa next to each other in separate pens but the babies could squeeze through the pen bars to visit both parents whenever they wanted. He was a lover! "

This husbun had 3 wives after raising 16 kits with Mama Ru. He was brought to Red Door for some speed dates where he met Ricki, a raven haired Dutch bunny owned by Sarah V., a long time volunteer. His third wife was red haired lady named Gigi. When she passed Papa Ru fell for a giant blonde named Lucy.

Bunny momma Sarah:
"Charlie (nee Papa Ru) was a silly gentleman, flop king and legendary ladykiller. Chronic health issues never got him down, he took it all in stride and lived a life full of naps, binkies, hay piles and much love from his mom. Divorcee (Mama Ru), two time widower (Ricki and Gigi) and absentee father of 16 (all named after drag queens), Charlie is survived by his much younger, larger and blonder wife, Lucy."

Binky free sweet little boy. 🖤🤍

This thankful Thursday, Bogart is thankful he was rescued off the streets - he doesn’t have to worry about the heat or the thunderstorms Chicago’s been having. This sweet cat will be even more grateful to have a calm, quiet forever home.
