🌟 Workforce development connects people to opportunity, but those connections don’t happen in isolation.

They are built through relationships among people, organizations, education, resources, and employers.

As we close out , Becky Raymond, Executive Director of scaleLIT, reflects on why those connections matter and what a strong workforce ecosystem can make possible.

Throughout September, we’ve highlighted the people and partnerships behind this work, and the role collaboration plays in creating stronger, more connected pathways for job seekers across Chicago and Cook County.

💚 Thank you to the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership and partners across the network for the collaboration and commitment that make this work possible.

Stronger connections. Stronger pathways. Stronger communities.

🤝 No one organization can meet every need a job seeker brings through the door.

Strong workforce development depends on partnership, sharing information, connecting resources, and helping people navigate services without losing momentum.

Hear from Germania Solórzano, Center Level Manager at scaleLIT serving the American Job Center in Pilsen, as she shares her perspective on the relationship-driven work behind a more connected workforce system.

As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re also proud to highlight Germania’s work in Pilsen and the partnerships helping connect Latino communities to resources and opportunity.

Thank you to the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership for its continued partnership and commitment to strengthening connections across Chicago and Cook County.

📣 What a great conversation about Co-Enrollment as Advocacy!

Today, adult education and workforce partners from across LWIA 7 came together at Richard J. Daley College for our Workforce System Partner Meeting to explore how stronger coordination and co-enrollment can help connect people to education, training, employment, supportive services, and other opportunities.

The conversation was moderated by Michael Matos, Director of Community Learning at scaleLIT, and featured:

🎤 Luis Narváez, Vice Chancellor of Adult Education, City Colleges of Chicago
🎤 Matt Weis, President & CEO, National Able Network
🎤 Raylynn Stokes, MS, Director, Adult Education Program, South Suburban College

Our panelists shared examples of how their organizations are connecting people across programs and resources, and sparked a great conversation about what stronger coordination can make possible.

And what better time to have this conversation than during Adult Education & Family Literacy Week? 💚

When partners work together, pathways become stronger.

Thank you to our panelists, everyone who joined us today, and the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership for its continued partnership and support of collaboration across LWIA 7.
