🍁Trae has been with GGC since 2017
🍁Contributions: farmer/gardener/tradesman for GGC
🍁Goals: Continue building community enterprises and regrowing community relations
🍁Fun facts: He grew up gardening with his grandmothers and aunt as a child in addition to having a love of the earth which cultivated a relationship with gardening
🍁Gardening/farming is super refreshing. It provides spiritual, mental, and emotional healing
🍁He loves to cook, listen to music, participate in sports and build

Getting to know getting grown collective! 🌱💚
Good afternoon everyone . 🤩Today we are introducing Yasmin our assistant coordinator of FFF. Yasmin use to be a volunteer before she took a huge step in becoming a assistant coordinator! 🥰Yasmin hobbies are reading , running , playing basketball, & volunteering. An interesting fact about Yasmin is that she loves to grow her own teas such as chamomile, lemon balm & holy basil. 🌿Yasmin have proudly been with GGC for about 4 months but started volunteering with GGC & LVEJO a year ago. 🌸 Thank you Yasmin for being such a huge help to our organization😌

Good morning everyone! This is Mama Taryn our legal consultant, design planner, master gardener , and most of all our mother figure all in one.😌 Mama Taryn Hobbies are Gardening, planning & designing, planting , & maintenance. She has been with GGC since April 2017! 🤩She has a strong belief that God intended for us to tend to the earth and gardening is a part of it which is why she enjoys it. 🌱💚 Gardening is a healing & peaceful environment for Mama Taryn. 🧘🏽♀️In fact, She picks the designs for the garden itself! She gained passion for gardening ever since she was a little girl. 👧🏽 Fun & interesting fact about Mama Taryn is that she grew up on the same block our garden is located & learned how to garden as a kid. Not only does she enjoys gardening but she’s also an Art collector and she loves to do arts & crafts! 🖍📚She even mentors young people! 👥 Mama Taryn is such a strong beautiful woman whom we all look up to. Thank you for inspiring us all!❤️

Greetings y’all! We are asking for folks to support one of our outstanding young people. Tamaya has been interning with us since last summer but Tamaya has been apart of our growth a little over 3 years. Join us in congratulating Tamaya on recently graduating from Johnson College Prep high school and on receiving acceptance to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. If you are able, please send some monetary love to Tamaya’s gofundme. All funds are going towards room and board. Everything else is covered for an August start date. Tamaya has handled weekly outreach to our meal & grocery recipients, helped with garden maintenance and assisted GGC’s social media accounts.
