Putting Chicago To Work

This photo captures one of the strangest contradictions in American housing:

Bigger houses. Smaller yards. Neighbors close enough to borrow Wi-Fi without asking.

And I don’t think the answer is simply, “buyers want this.”

Most people are choosing from what actually exists at a price they can remotely afford. Developers are trying to make projects work. Cities need roads, utilities, schools and infrastructure. Buyers are trying to get a house without turning the mortgage payment into a second career.

So we end up with a strange compromise: more square footage inside, less breathing room outside.

Maybe that’s perfect for some families. But I suspect plenty of Americans would gladly trade 500 square feet of house for a little more land, privacy and distance from the neighbor’s kitchen window.

The bigger housing conversation shouldn’t just be “How many homes can we build?”

It should also be:

“Are we building the kinds of homes people actually want to live in?”

Those are two very different questions.

The average millionaire is 57.
Not 21.

The average age to start a business is 43.
Not 23.

The average age to buy a house is 38.
Not 26.

The average age for a career pivot is 39.
Not 25.

Building an impressive physique takes 3 years.
Not 90 days

The average successful business takes 5-10 years.
Not 6 months.

So stop measuring your life against someone else's timeline.

You're not behind. You're still building. And you're right on time.

🕒 Available Shifts:
• AM Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | $20.00/hr
• PM Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM | $20.40/hr

Perfect for candidates who enjoy office environments, data entry, administrative support, and fast-paced logistics operations.

📋 What You'll Do
• Process cargo documentation and shipment records
• Perform high-volume data entry
• Verify shipment information and resolve discrepancies
• Support flight departures through accurate documentation
• Coordinate cargo movement through internal systems

📌 What We're Looking For
• Typing speed of 40+ WPM
• Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
• Weekend availability required
• Ability to obtain airport badging credentials

✅ NOW HIRING: Warehouse Agents
💵 Pay: $20.00 – $20.50/hr + Overtime Available
🕒 Available Shifts:
• AM Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• PM Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
• Overnight: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM

📦 What You'll Do
• Load, unload, and process cargo shipments
• Conduct cargo acceptance and security checks
• Store and organize freight safely
• Assist customers while following security procedures
• Operate warehouse equipment and forklifts as needed
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment

📌 What We're Looking For
• Valid U.S. Driver's License (Required)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Steel-toe footwear required
• Weekend availability required
• 1–2 years of warehouse experience preferred
