The weather looks perfect for Wicker Mic this evening. Come show off your talents or bring a picnic and enjoy the talents of others. The show will start at 6 pm in Wicker Park (1425 N Damen) on the grass south of the fountain.

With a voice that feeds the soul, songs that speak to the heart, and guitar playing that makes you move, Bill Grady cannot be ignored. After discovering the lost art of slide guitar while attending Berklee College of Music, he began studying the classic slide masters as well as the great songwriters and composers of days gone by. These influences led to Bill's debut album, Nothing Runs Free, a blues opera about love lost, life on the run, and redemption. With his electrifying vocals, slide guitar prowess, and vivid songwriting, his live shows are unlike any solo act you’ve ever seen.

Wicker Mic may be taking a break until next Summer, but the Wicker Park Advisory Council is not. Folks are busy planning Boo-Palooza, the largest event of the year. It takes hundreds of volunteers to pull off a halloween extravaganza for the thousands who attend. Let me know if you are interested in helping out.
