The On The Table - Teen Talk event last night was amazing! Thanks to The Chicago Community Trust for driving this activity. It was great to have teens from all over Chicago participate. The schools that were represented included Brooks College Prep Academy, Chicago Bulls College Prep, Christ The King College Prep, Frederick A. Douglass High School, Intrinsic Schools, Josephinum Academy, Kennedy High School, Kenwood Academy, Noble Street Charter - Muchin Campus, Perspectives Charter - Math & Science Academy, Young Magnet High School and Morehouse College.
It was clear that you all of you are well on your way to developing high level effective speaking, listening and language skills â and Leap Learning Systems is proud to have played a part in your growth. During the evening each group had some incredibly insightful and impassioned things to say about education, violence, community, race relations, LBGT issues and more. The room was filled with open and honest dialogue, and each group did some deep thinking about solutions. It was a wonderful event and truly representative of the promising capacities this city has in its young people.
