It only took 1.5 years, but our 8th record is finally out (on all platforms!). I’m delighted to have finished it, rather than relieved to be done with it — which feels good to say. So many friendly faces collaborated at every level of its production to bring these songs to life. In a lot of ways, this project has grown to be a means by which I get to see, talk to, and collaborate with my friends and found-family. It’s a kind of memorial to the power of relationships—power which, as the contents of these songs attest, can be as easily life-giving as devastating. So, choose your relationships carefully!
This record, amongst other things, continues the three-song arc that I shared with my sister, , on Borrowed Time (2024). Here too we share three songs, but I hope these are more life-giving than devastating — more hopeful, more grounded.
Tropopause is now available in a limited edition pressing on BLUE 140g vinyl exclusively through Oakley Avenue Records. Digital download codes, redeemable via Bandcamp, will be included with every vinyl order!
