We are the only specialty running store located on the Southside of Chicago. We pride our expert service on you… and your feet! Welcome to Running Excels!
We pride our expert service on you… and your feet! We carry a large selection of walking and running shoes, running apparel, energy supplements and other running focused accessories. Our friendly staff provides a GAIT analysis with our 6 step fitting process to ensure you receive the best shoes for your running needs. We opened this family-owned store to help share our love for running and help others to achieve their fitness goals. We are passionate about running and offer free group runs out of the store on Tuesday (6 PM), Thursday (6 PM) and Saturday (7 AM). We help the beginning runner with Walk to Run programs and the advanced runner by providing advanced training programs. We are an official CARA (Chicago Area Runners Association) training site and help to support the local running community. Stop by the store and drop off your old running shoes. We donate used shoes to the charity “Share your Soles." We are owned by Beverly - an avid runner . The Tombstone 5k is fast approaching and with it the deadline for hoodie sign ups! While registration for the race will remain open until the morning of- you MUST register before Wednesday, September 30th to be guaranteed a hoodie!
