It's 2025 and we're trying something new. This year, we're going to create as many spec commercial projects as possible to see what kind of new work opportunities it creates. This is the first one & more are coming! I'll let you know at the end of the year how the experiment worked!
For this Walmart+ concept, I wanted to use dynamic movement and music that incorporated the sounds of the holidays to tell the story of a rushed family getting ready for the big day.
Thank you to all the talented individuals who helped out on this. This couldn't have happened without the great production community here in Chicago.

A quick plug here for my children's book which just got released today!
If you've always wanted a story where a piece of ham runs for mayor of the fridge, then this book is for you!
The first draft of "Hamslice Jr. & the Political Pickle' was written pre-2016 election, so it's been a long time in the making.
The book is a great way for kids to learn more about politics, voting and elections - but it's also fun for adults and full of puns, fun illustrations and more.

Our Story
Heave Ho Productions began with a small, full-length documentary in 2008. That experience taught us the importance of storytelling, the strength of collaboration and the determination to see something through until the end. With that attitude on our shoulders, we soon began creating stories for startups, agencies, businesses and Fortune 500 companies.
We’re based in Chicago, IL and Austin, TX but have experience shooting videos on 5 continents and in over 25 US States. We are ready to go wherever your story is.
If you have a smaller project – don’t worry – we own our own gear, which can be helpful for budgets and schedules. If you have a bigger project, our large network of creatives and rental houses will allow us to tackle even the most challenging of ideas. Whatever your story may be, we’re ready to work hard to tell it.
Collaborative
We strive to connect with clients and crew to create a collaborative and positive environment on all our projects. We believe in open communication and providing flexible solutions, understanding that every project is different.
