2020 was the year of the rat, which isn’t the most popular animal in the Chinese Zodiac due to it being associated as dirty. This integrated graphic design by Ti-Ming Chu Workshop works to soften those stereotypes using bright and light colors🌈
The year of the rat is quite beautiful after seeing this design! ✨

This graphic was created for the 1st Designer’s Party, an event that invites hundreds of designers from Taiwan to enhance opportunities for their future within the field.

Hong Da Design Studio creatively demonstrates how a cutting edge design can be used to produce a compelling vision & message. The “0” is used to represent individuals from different time and space, different backgrounds, and overall different lives in which the passion and intention of designs are the same.

We are here to give you a tip: you don’t have to squeeze all of your important information into your homepage! 🎉

Whoever said people don’t like to scroll is… you guessed it… wrong!!

The content posted in your homepage or above the main fold should still be the most compelling in order to get your reader & visitors interested however people will scroll if you provide them with interesting information everywhere they look! 👁️

And for our second popular myth we have….drumroll please🥁

All pages should be accessible in three clicks & three clicks only

Although this seems to be a popular opinion it has actually been proven by usability testing that users don’t actually leave your site or app when they aren’t able to find desired information in 2-3 clicks. Thats right, fewer clicks don’t make your users happier.
Navigation is key to their happiness. If you make your site or app easy to navigate they care less about the clicks & more about navigating to the information they are looking for 😀

User-experience designer Zoltán Gócza has created a collection of 34 (and counting!) common web design user experience misconceptions that we found very interesting! 💡
Over the course of the next few weeks we thought we would share them with you as well as a little insight into why they are proven myths!

First up: People read on the web, true or false? False.

Nowadays, people tend to skim on the web. They go straight to the source aka highlighted words, compelling headlines, or scannable paragraphs. They want to see the information that will be useful to them and skip the irrelevant information. SO with this myth comes a pro tip: focus on creating web content that has scannable, compelling, relevant information that everyone can relate to (nerd emoji)

This book design created by Code Switch for Petr Šabachs novels, definitely caught our eye!
Between color and design, the visual language where each element is dependent upon another and its surroundings is truly something beautiful!

This was the design for The New York Women’s Surf Film Festival and took the award for branding!
The New York Women’s Surf Film Festival celebrates the filmmakers and female’s who love to surf🏄‍♀️
This year’s theme was women empowerment so the overall design was focused around that using spray paint to create the graphic elements. The eloquence of the paint reflects the movement, power, and energy of female surfers. The photography that was integrated with the paint, was meant to represent the idea of taking & making your own path.
