✨Teaching a grandparent or sibling how the pieces move

A little consistency goes a long way. Have fun, celebrate effort, and enjoy spending time together around the chessboard!

The Queen wasn’t always the strongest piece on the board.

Hundreds of years ago, she could only move one square at a time! The powerful Queen we know today didn’t appear until the late 1400s.
