What ho! News! I'm stoked to join The Shakespeare Project of Chicago for "All's Well That Ends Well" in a theatrical reading tour, **Oct. 24-27 and Nov. 1**.

Twenty years after attempting Lafew on the nights I wasn't playing Hamlet (in rep for the Velvet Wi***es), I'm taking another stab at the fiery lord, and, because time waits for no man, I might have a more believable shot at being the father of a marriageable daughter. You be the judge!

After playing together onstage several times (notably when her Elizabeth just wouldn't succumb to R3's charms), I'm excited to be directed for the first time by Michelle Shupe in this lesser-produced comedy.

As a reminder, the Project's shows are *free* with a capital F. And you want to get there early for the informative intro.

Here’s some very smart poetry about the happiest married couple in Shakespeare.

This is very clever.

Read it left to right in full, then each side independently.

Of course some basic knowledge of Macbeth is helpful... *SPOILER* She manipulates him to kill the current king so he can be king. He becomes king. Their actions haunt them. She dies. He dies.

Joshua Fardon has the perfect thing for you! His "Vortigern: A True Story" is absolutely bananas - and hilarious. Come check out this live in-person reading tomorrow at 2 at Chicago Dramatists! My Entertainment World’s is back for one night only. THE WINTER’’S TALE - tomorrow (Sunday) at 7 EDT - live on YouTube (link to come).

I'm so excited to see these wonderful folks who when we were locked down read the entire Shakespeare canon - and then some. On this fifth anniversary we’re revisiting the late problem play/romance (which they first did before I was on the team).

If you missed my Autolycus with The Shakespeare Project of Chicago a few weeks ago, here’s your chance to see me play something else!

Back on the wintery boards - this time as the rogue, Autolycus. Come join us for some sweet redemption - for free, y’all!

Study Finds Leaning On Mop At Center Stage Linked To Delivering Monologue About Things ’Round Here 07/25/2024

For the budding directors out there. Note that this is for mops, not brooms. With brooms, it’s likely a fairy in disguise and it’s the epilogue.

Study Finds Leaning On Mop At Center Stage Linked To Delivering Monologue About Things ’Round Here NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—A new study conducted by researchers at Rutgers University and published Friday found a link between leaning on a mop at center stage and delivering a monologue about things ’round here. “The data we’ve been studying have shown that perching one’s hands atop the handle of...

What I get from this is: Meres was the forerunner of BuzzFeed, and if that's true, he’s definitely a Slytherin.
