NOW LANDING: the Field's newest fossil, a dino AND bird named Archaeopteryx. 🦖 🦅

Archaeopteryx is one of the rarest and most important fossils of all time: its tiny teeth, delicate feather impressions, and sharp claws are 150-million-year-old evidence that dinos evolved in the birds surrounding us today. 🪶

The Field’s Archaeopteryx is the 13th known-to-science specimen, and 1 of 2 on display in North America. 🤩

“We sheltered under Soldier Field for about 15 minutes. Then proceeded to have one of the most visually beautiful tours on the way back to the office. I took an extra 10 minute detour for the guests and they loved it.”
