I’ve been working on a fun little side project of selling some originals of my charcoal botanical drawings and limited-edition prints, and I’ll be joining the artist community in my new neighborhood of Oak Park, IL for their annual spring festival. Stop by my booth to say hi and check out what I’ve been working on; hope to see you there!

Happy wedding day to Sarah and Josh! We had the best time working with on their stationery (seriously, Natalie is so organized, sweet, and down-to-earth, and their style guide had us excited about this project from day 1); we work almost exclusively with clients who have wedding planners, and having good communication and a planner who respects our processes is so key for us being able to produce our best work for our clients!

Sarah and Josh’s invites took total inspiration from the dreamy and ethereal mountain views at their wedding venue in Vail, Colorado — the aesthetic was something along the lines of “bohemian mountain chic at sunset,” with the soft greens, blues, lavenders, and pale blush colors of the Vail Mountains at dusk informing the color palette. I created a logo that we used on the envelope flap and wax seal with little twinkle stars that Sarah actually got a tattoo of during the invite design process! Sob. We carried through all of these design threads into their wedding day stationery, keeping some pieces more simple to allow for the flowers to really take center stage. I can’t wait to see this event come to life today on their Instagram stories! It’s so fun to see months of anticipation finally come together. Congrats, S&J! It’s been such a pleasure to create these keepsakes for you both. ✨ 🏔 ☁️ 💜 🌸

July has been a madhouse over here, and I can’t wait to share all the pretty things we put out into the world for our fabulous clients. First up: these beauties for Codi and Jackson’s Napa wedding with ! Romantic line drawn florals were the name of the game here, and we used vintage stamps representative of Codi and Jackson’s roots to make the envelopes super special. Blue ribbon and wax seals were used for both the invites and ceremony programs and es**rt cards, and their C&J monogram was another design thread that we wove throughout 🥰

I’m on site in Nantucket this week for Maggie and Jeff’s wedding with and I cannot WAIT to show you all the beautiful designs we’ve created for this colorful island bash (stay tuned for all the sneak peeks in my stories this week). These table numbers are just a taste of the absolute gorgeousness that’s about to drop! We went way beyond paper for this one, incorporating all sorts of fun materials into the finished pieces. The table numbers are acrylic with dried pressed florals hand—arranged, placed, and glued down onto acetate, layered with simple numbers for a colorful three-dimensional effect. All 21 table numbers are unique, and the floral sheets can be framed afterwards as keepsake items for the bride and groom 🌸 ❤️ 🍃 ✨

Kelly + Matt’s wedding stationery set the tone for their luxe, modern-meets-romantic soirée with at the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel, California. After multiple postponements and venue changes over the course of pandemic madness, it was such a thrill to see it all come together. Their team of vendors really made magic happen! . .
Kelly and Matt’s invitation suite featured pearl foil floral accents, mauve letterpress, and tonal shades of mauve, taupe, blush, and dusty rose. It’s always fun when I get to play with fun printing techniques! . .
We carried through the taupe and beige tones from the invitation suite into the day-of stationery, embossing their floral logo on the programs and commissioning the most luxe linen-backed es**rt cards, menus, and bar menus. The welcome note featured a tonal letterpress illustration of the view at the ceremony site (more details on that in a future post)!

Our biggest wedding of the year was last weekend, and we are still riding high from the creativity, camaraderie, and love. We designed over 80 pieces for this wedding over the span of 2+ years, from save the dates and bridal shower invitations to custom pillows, petal toss cones, and a custom printed band backdrop and aisle runner — my artwork touched every part of this wedding, and it was just so incredibly special.

I did a really fun collaboration with Real Dog Moms of Chicago benefiting Hinsdale Humane Society for Valentine’s Day!

Let the pet portrait extravaganza begin! Usually I focus on the dogs with a straight-on perspective and no background, but this client’s dog loves walks on the beach (um, me too?) so I did more of a landscape as well and I’m reallllly into it!

Sometimes I’m a totally normal, well-adjusted person who realizes when things don’t need to be perfect, and other times I’m a very detail-oriented perfectionist who makes ten times more work for myself because a job needs to be flawless. These postponement notices for a 2021 wedding with were a big project this week because I had to re-do the envelope liners by printing and cutting them in-house, but this letterpress is so stunning and special that it just didn’t feel right to send them out with anything less than perfection inside the envelope. Check out my stories for a little interactive behind the scenes of the assembly process!
