The Cities Project is a university-community partnership that provides Chicago Public School students with a) coping strategies for urban stress and engaging in academics, b) university mentors, and c) a connection to quality after-school programs By setting up after-school programs and teaching effective coping strategies, the Cities Project makes a long-term commitment to youth, supporting them from the 4th grade all the way through their first year in college.

Our Story
The Cities Project is a research-based mentorship program dedicated to supporting Chicago Public School students. By setting up after-school programs and teaching effective coping strategies, The Cities Project makes a long-term commitment to youth, supporting them from the 4th grade all the way through their first year in college.
The Cities Project is based out of DePaul University’s Psychology Department and includes mentors and staff from both DePaul and Dominican University.
