TEXTURE is not a decoration. It’s the difference between a room that photographs well and one that stays with you. Every one of our projects begins with the hand - what something feels like is as important as how it looks and those details are noticeable.
BLACK + WHITE is not a limitation -it’s a discipline. The tension lives in the contrast of rough + refined - unfinished stone, coarse texture, fractured surfaces against smooth fabric that absorbs light rather than reflects it. We designed this room to read as graphic from a distance, revealing its complexity up close.
DRESSED DOWN thought through and always at ease. This lakeshore Pied a’ Terre primary brings simplicity to the forefront while proving spare is not bare and neutrals need not be boring. Antique textile coverlet, mod chair Lydia + Sam and vintage lamp bring in the soul.

THE ARTIST’S RETREAT guest cottage. Unadorned, unhurried - where simplicity isn’t a lack of something but the whole point. This is The Hamptons before it became a destination : salt air, raw wood and a light that does all the decorating. We were enlisted to renovate and decorate without a need to impress. We edited until only the essential remained - a space where the worn and the considered live side by side in the way they always have in this rustic paradise.

POINT OF VIEW we believe a home should have a point of view. The Hamptons should be anything but a coastal cliche’. We used bold graphic art, oversized shapes to ground the room and a textured rug which lives underfoot creating a chic, modern and completely unapologetic home.

CURATED is somewhat a trendy term in today’s interior design world, but it has been our go to aesthetic for decades. We’ve built a signature style on bringing simple shapes and pared down style to a new places by incorporating curated collections, patina as a finish and artifacts with thoughtful placement throughout the home. One of our favs installations are the 350 stone mortars filling floor to ceiling shelves built specifically for a collection prior to finding the perfect grouping of such. The best part about this one is the vendor sourcing them over seas and on multiple trips. Our clients, who decided to style the shelves themselves and surprise us did an amazing job and we didn’t change a thing!
