After serving the Chicago LGBT community for 11 years, MidTangent Productions will "close its doors" this summer.

Being a part of the Chicago arts community has been a huge honor. As a company focused on current events and pop culture, the LGBT civil rights movement has lead and fueled our passion to create art, representing the many facets of our community.

Bringing art to drag and drag to our art has been a big part of who we are, and we are so lucky to have worked with so many of the amazing queens of the second city.

Beyond our beloved queens, the countless actors, technicians
& company members who have worked heart and soul into so many a production must be extended our deep gratitude as well.

It would be remiss of us not to thank the owners and management of Hydrate Nightclub Chicago. Since 2009, Hydrate has served as a welcome home for our twisted creations. As a theater company is very little with out a place to create their art, we humbly extend our thanks to the wonderful team at Hydrate for all their generosity and dedication to us.

And, of course: all of you. All of you, who have come to show after show (in the back of a bar) because you knew (like us) that it was something special, we thank you.

As pride month comes to a close, so does MidTangent, but we walk away so proud of the years we could share our art with you. Parting is such sweet sorrow...
