Project Update! Due to a curious kitty incident, my extra large embroidery hoop is now broken. 🥹💔Which means I'm switching to stitching this on my lap instead of neatly on a stand. It takes a bit longer, but the end result will be so worth it!
Measures 2ft tall x 14" wide.

He's back!! So ecstatic that I was able to finish this needlework today! He's been staring me down in my studio silently waiting for his time to shine. I stitched the rest of the VHS tape and then touched up the black paint. Just needs a felt backing and it will be complete!

What a fun lil adventure day in celebration of my Half Birthday. 😊🥰🎉 I chose to go to a new-to-me local greenhouse (Romence) to find a cutie new plant addition to my new home. Thanks for the present of my first ever money tree, Mom & Dad! It already looks so happily settled into its new abode. 💚

Mom and I went to downtown to see the outdoor Art Prize exhibit that featured artwork made by veterans. We were able to catch an official tour & I was able to meet with the tour guide afterwards, who is also an artist/ curator. There were statues, paintings, photography, mosaics, and interactive art —all installed outdoors. There was even an opal artist that crafted teeeeny tiny sculptures out of opal! After the tour, the Embrace the Struggle garden stood out to me most. There were many types of flowers within it, each representing a characteristic or stage of life. We were able to meet the artist, a veteran that describes themself as a “cancer thriver!”
In the midst of life’s transitions and uncertainty, I am still encouraged and inspired on a regular basis. For this, I am grateful.
