Thank you, women of Second City for being wicked talented, hilarious, and soooo smart! There were times you were so politically on-point — I was confused as to whether I should laugh or cry. Same for your “take” on being female. I overheard a group of twenty-something’s afterward appreciating the “I’m sorry” skit. It’s Universal — our need to apologize for the space we take or for who we are. Let’s stop apologizing, shall we? Today.

Last week I saw with .chishti. The show was incredible and exactly what we need right now. It was inspiring to hear women speak up, to have a loud voice, and see them fight back against society. The show reminded me that I am not alone as a woman. Especially now stepping into the role of an entrepreneur, some days are harder than others. As part of the 29% of women in my MBA class, I can say first hand that the world is still not balanced and we need to keep speaking up, keep being loud, and remember, who runs the world? Girls!
