In 2015, Velocity Energy was acquired by Satori Energy, another energy consulting firm based out of Chicago, serving customers in all deregulated energy markets. Satori Energy won Broker of the Year in 2015 and 2017 and continues to operate with a client-first mentality.

Although the acquisition took place nearly three years ago, for marketing purposes, the Velocity Energy brand was left active. However, as of July 2018, the Velocity Energy brand will be discontinued, transitioning completely to Satori Energy.
