We are wholly redeemed: In our weakness and vulnerability, we have been found and remembered by a great redeemer. Through his life, death, resurrection, and ascension we have been made whole. We are hopefully expectant: Our pilgrimage through this world is at times painful and exhausting, but we cling desperately to our only hope--the life everlasting that we find in Jesus. It is with this hope, we gather together to receive from the Lord through word and sacrament. We meet as a community of faith to worship our Savior Jesus Christ, who calls out to us even now, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
