It’s been so awesome to see these photos popping up all over the city for the Joffrey Ballet’s production of Christoper Wheldon’s “Alice In Wonderland.” Cannot wait for the performance which opens this week! Love working with you, Joffrey!

A 23 year tradition continues. It was a little easier to sneak in a Mother’s Day shoot with mama bear in Europe. But here it is! Shot just under the wire. How it’s going, and one from Year 1! Happy Mother’s Day everyone.

The only thing more rewarding than seeing your work published is when it is done for an amazing human and an amazing team. Bert Kreisher’s “Lucky” just dropped this past week. There is no better title for this special. You know who is lucky? Anybody who gets to work with Bert, his amazing wife Leeann and the entire Berty Boy team. Sorry, I should say family. This is truly one of the best clients I have. To be appreciated for hard work, respected as a professional and to enjoy every second of the journey is truly a gift. There is one person who I need to single out for all of this happening and that’s Judi Marmel who has been in my corner from the start. If you haven’t, seen it yet, watch Lucky on Netflix. But be sure to have tissues for the end. Great job all the way around! Lucky indeed.

I loved photographing Deborah Rutter for the Kennedy Center. These were in 2016. Great memories. Special thanks to J.David Ake for the amazing assistance.

That’s a wrap on the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine for me. Thankfully I can post 20 on this carousel because, once again, it was almost impossible to choose the “best” of what we got. And I say we because without and in the room, it’s a lost cause. Teamwork is truly what a shoot like this takes. Speed dating with athletes, 3-5 min trying to get them to do something just a little different, just a little special. But here you go! Shot for on

We didn’t have the Scout cookie fundraising. We didn’t do band candy bar or Christmas time popcorn. But we do have a young director needing a little financial assistance so she and her team can make their movie. Funds pay for actors, location etc. Check them out. Contribute if you can.

What a beautiful Saturday night. I was not aware of who was, but it was clear I am in the minority. I have never seen a sold out before, Both balcony and main level. Truly a beautiful sight to see. And let's not forget about the "hear"part. What a great concert. Warmth and calming coming from Kishi Bashi's music and the beautiful artistry of the lead by Shout out to my good friend for really giving some good visuals! This is what it's all about.

One thing is for certain. The Chicago Symphony attracts the best in the business. For the past 11 seasons, that was certainly the case for House Manager. Today, after a packed house for the piano recital leaves, Charles Braico is stepping away from his post and heading off to a new career. Knife jugglers have nothing on Charles' ability to handle whatever was thrown at him from power outages to over self served patrons who feel their seat has been taken. I for one will miss him and his amazing sense of humor and charming grace, and I cannot fail to to mention his tucking away in the terrace above the stage during the pandemic to run our camera(s) that were often placed there. Charles is heading to Holland America in their sales division. I plan to be a customer.
