Graduation season reminds us that there is resilience and potential in every young person. After surviving a traumatic shooting as a teen, Raymond was inspired by the Stroger trauma social workers he met. This month, he earned his master's degree in social work. Watch his remarkable story:

May is Arthritis Awareness Month. It’s a myth that arthritis is "just an old person’s disease." The Arthritis Foundation estimates that juvenile arthritis affects nearly 300,000 kids and teens in the US. Nearly one-quarter of Americans are estimated to be affected by some form of the condition.

Cook County Health’s Stroger Hospital has been awarded a grant from The Toy Foundation’s Children’s Hospital Play Grants Program.
The Toy Foundation awarded 37 projects at hospitals across the nation, recognizing programs that reflected the importance of play in children’s hospitals, particularly those in underserved communities.
