For more than a century, Hampden and the family who owns it have been assembling watches in Chicago.

There’s something really nice about choosing an engraving that says more about your life than anything ever could.

Custom engraving gives you a lot of options, but for furparents, this one is pretty hard to beat. A familiar face on the caseback makes the watch feel personal right away, and honestly, it is a great way to keep your favorite little furbaby with you forever.

First Hand has a new home.

We’re excited to officially welcome our watchmaking workshop into Club 1922, our new space for the full First Hand experience.

This is where guests spend the day at the bench, learning the craft up close and building a Swiss mechanical watch by hand inside Hampden’s Chicago headquarters.

From disassembling and rebuilding the movement to casing the watch and leaving with the finished piece on your wrist, First Hand is designed to be immersive, personal, and hands-on from start to finish.

A few more standout looks from Club 1922!

Bow ties, brocade, feathers, satin, velvet, and just the right amount of sparkle. The tailoring was sharp, the details were strong, and the personal style came through in every direction.

Exactly the kind of crowd the night called for.

The 6498 class just got a little more interesting.

We’re now offering new dial colors to give guests a few more ways to shape the watch they’ll leave wearing at the end of First Hand watchmaking workshop.

Club 1922, seen from the wrist up.

One of the best parts of the night was seeing Hampden out in the room, styled a little differently on everyone who wore it. Different looks, different personalities, same watches finding their place in the evening.

Club 1922 had a lot going for it, but Meghan Murphy gave the night its pulse.

They brought the room up, kept it there, and made every part of the evening feel a little sharper. The vocals had presence, the sax cut through at exactly the right moments, the keys and guitar kept everything moving, and the whole set had that rare kind of chemistry that makes people stop talking and start paying attention.

Thank you to Meghan Murphy for being such a big part of the night.

A little outfit appreciation for Club 1922.

The vintage direction gave everyone something to play with, and people really made it their own. A little old Hollywood, a little jazz club, a little after-hours glamour, and a lot of looks that made the room feel especially good all night.

This crowd really did the theme justice.

One of the things we wanted Club 1922 to do was bring people closer to the full Hampden story.

We revived our historic watch gallery, giving guests a closer look at the pieces, history, and craftsmanship that helped shape the brand over time. It brought another layer to the evening, and made the whole experience feel even more rooted in story.

Thank you to , who helped us archive the collection and bring even more care to how it is preserved and shared.

A party is one thing. Getting people up to the bench is another.

Now that First Hand: Watchmaking Workshop has a new home inside Club 1922, some of our guests got to try part of the workshop experience during the event. Watching people lean in, take their time, and get a feel for the mechanics up close was easily one of the best parts of the night.

Let’s look back at Club 1922, an evening of timeless luxury and experiential craftsmanship.

A little mystery at the door, a little sparkle in the room, signature pours, plenty of time around the bench, and a crowd that made the whole night feel alive.

It was the kind of evening that let people experience Hampden in a way that felt immersive and intentional, while also giving them a closer look at the history, heritage, and craftsmanship behind the brand.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such a fun evening.
