Edelson PC's Natasha Fernández-Silber has been appointed Interim Co-Lead Class Counsel in In re: CoStar Group Antitrust Litigation, No. 3:26-md-03192-DJN (E.D. Va.).

She and the firm represent a proposed class of commercial real estate brokers who allege CoStar engaged in an exclusive-dealing scheme to lock up listing data in the commercial real estate information services market, in violation of Sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Act.

This alleged scheme allows CoStar to operate the dominant platform brokers rely on for property listings, comparables, and market data — and to charge brokers inflated subscription prices as a result.

$17 BILLION META SETTLEMENT

Meta has agreed to pay up to $17 billion and to overhaul how Instagram and Facebook treat kids, resolving claims by nearly every state and territory that the company built its platforms to addict children and then told the public they were safe. It was an honor to represent the District of Columbia, New Hampshire, Puerto Rico, Utah, and Vermont in this historic case.

Meta to Pay Up to $17.1 Billion in Landmark Settlement Over Social Media Addiction Claims (Gift Article) The social media giant settled with 47 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories, and agreed to make major changes to its products over claims its platforms endangered children.

Statement from Cia Edmonds, the mother of 12-year-old Maya who is fighting for her life in a Vancouver hospital after the Tumbler Ridge shooting. Cia is one of the lead plaintiffs in our lawsuits seeking to hold Sam Altman and OpenAI accountable for this tragedy. Twelve members of OpenAI's safety team urged the company to alert the authorities based on ChatGPT chatlogs where the eventual shooter apparently discussed plans to commit gun violence. Leadership at OpenAI told them to stand down. Six people died, twenty-five were injured, and a town was decimated. Sam thinks an apology and a promise to do better will paper over the damage he caused. She speaks for every family that was impacted that day.
