I used to think rest was weakness… now I know it’s wisdom. Even God rested. Not because he was tired, but because he was setting a pattern for us to follow.
Growing up, I heard things like, “I can rest when I’m dead.”
And for a long time, I believed that.
I thought being strong meant always going. Always pushing. Always producing.
But the older I get, the more I realize … rest is not quitting… it’s preparing for what’s ahead.
And if I’m going to continue pouring into others, I have to make sure I’m being poured into as well.
So for the next two weeks, I’m taking intentional time to rest, reflect, and renew.
🗓 Morning Glory will be on sabbatical from April 6 – April 17
