Here's an interesting one... In 1923, rookie Red Sox pitcher Clarence Blethen thought he might look meaner if he took out his false teeth while pitching. He placed them in his back pocket but forgot about them while running the bases later on. One wrong slide into second and Clarence became the first and only player to bite himself in the behind. Ouch!

DId you know ... A major league baseball is only used for 5-7 pitches before being replaced by a new one? Approximately 70 baseballs are used during the average game.
