He sailed Helios 11 more than 3,000 nautical miles—around 5,700 kilometers—from Finland all the way to Ibiza, Spain.

This unusual case of payroll fraud centered around Linda Johnson, a former general manager at a Wendy’s restaurant in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Johnson had administrative access to the restaurant's scheduling and timesheet software.

And investigators say she used that access to create a “ghost employee.”

The employee was named William Bright.

He was a real acquaintance of Johnson's—but according to investigators, he never actually worked at the restaurant.

Over approximately 11 months, from June 2021 through May 2022, Johnson allegedly entered 128 fake shifts into the system under Bright's name.

The fraudulent hours generated real paychecks.

But Bright never received the money.

Instead, the payments—totaling approximately $19,898.15—were allegedly directed into Johnson's personal Cash App account.

For nearly a year, the scheme apparently continued without being detected.

Then the franchise owners conducted a routine forensic audit.

That's when something didn't add up.

Investigators began questioning other managers and employees.

Several reportedly said they had never seen Bright at the restaurant.

Others had no record of ever working a shift with him.

The supposed employee had been collecting paychecks…

without ever showing up for work.

When investigators from the Manheim Township Police Department confronted Johnson, she reportedly confessed to the scheme.

She told investigators that she had used the stolen money to purchase items for her children.

Johnson was subsequently charged with felony theft by deception and turned herself in to authorities in August 2023.

The case is a reminder of how ordinary administrative access can become a serious problem when someone decides to abuse it.

The breed has a long history in Vietnam.

D**g Tao chickens were once raised exclusively for royalty and Vietnamese mandarins, making them a highly prized bird.

Even today, they remain a luxury product.

Around Tet, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, exceptionally large and well-developed birds can reportedly sell for as much as $2,000 each.

And it gets even stranger.

Some prized roosters are entered into beauty contests, where judges focus heavily on the size and shape of their unusual legs.

But those giant legs come with a problem.

D**g Tao hens can be so heavy-footed that they sometimes crush their own eggs while sitting on them.

Because of this, breeders often remove the eggs and hatch them using incubators instead.

Raising these chickens also takes patience.

It can take around eight months to a year for one to reach market size.

The meat is considered a delicacy and is prized for its lean texture and flavor.

So this isn't just a chicken with funny-looking legs.

It's a rare breed with a centuries-old history, unusual biology and a price tag that can make an ordinary chicken look almost worthless.

According to reports, the trafficking network sold his kidney for approximately $35,000, while Wang received only about $3,500.

Nine people connected to the scheme were reportedly sentenced to prison, including the surgeon involved and the ringleader who had recruited vulnerable teenagers online.
