Jefferson Airplane’s version of High Flyin’ Bird is probably better known by most, but I have no idea what it sounds like. Those familiar with the Richie Havens version might see how I favor his take. After hours of practicing last night, this was going to be the last take no matter what. My fatigued vocals took me in some unexpected directions at the end, but I kind of like it.
