Avanse is a nonprofit whose mission is to advance the lives of street children in the world’s most Any of these can cause youth to take to the streets.
The term "Street Child" is used to refer to a group of vulnerable and marginalized children whose lives are spent either living or working on the streets. US AID has divided Street Youth into Four Categories:
A ‘Child of the Streets': Children who have no home but the streets and no family support. They move from place to place, living in shelters and abandoned buildings. A ‘Child on the street':
