Hosted by Columbia Pride, GENDER FUSIONS is an
annual event celebrating the intergenerational
accomplishments and experiences of our q***r
community; our art, culture, and activism.

We’re looking for live performances of music, dance,
poetry, prose, stand up comedy, plays, and short films
(must include captions) BY members of the q***r
community and FOR the same. This year, under our
theme of “Art is Not Enough”, we are looking for
art-as-activism, but all works will be considered.
Stage performance slots are 5 minutes max.

In addition to the performance aspect of GENDER
FUSIONS, this year we are creating a zine with the title
“Art is Not Enough”. We are requesting works of prose,
poetry, non-fiction/essay, and visual art (photography, digital illustration, painting, mixed media, etc) also with a theme of
art-as-activism. This zine will be sold, with proceeds
benefitting the Broadway Youth Center, a local Chicago
organization for at-risk q***r youth.

Submit all works at:

Zine submissions due
April 7th
