Last week I was able to showcase my painting skills 🎨 with my flower pots. This week I am showcasing another amazingly talented artist’s 🧑🏽‍🎨 work all the way from Guanajuato, Mexico 🇲🇽 All pendants shown here have been hand painted, LITERALLY. I’m serious! No type of paintbrush was used to create these minute and intricate details. They were done just using a finger! They’re finger painted, you could say!

So here is how the story goes. Originally, el señor Alberto did all of his artwork on spoons 🥄 Yes, I know. Also, very cool. I bought multiple from him to give as gifts to family and even one for myself. After seeing his work, I of course wanted to incorporate it into my jewelry. I asked if he would be able to transfer his work onto metal pendants, and he delivered! It was a beautiful experience. I made a friend and business partner from just that first simple interaction, and now I am able to share the result of that experience with all of you ❤️

To give these pendants an extra touch I am having them hang on 100% genuine leather cord. Pendants have also been sealed to avoid any type of tarnishing or wearing of paint.

Another hand painted flower pot to start off this beautiful Sunday morning! ☀️ I was inspired by my recent trip to Mexico 🇲🇽 for this one. This 4 inch pot 🪴 is a tribute to the Otomí doll, affectionately known as the muñeca Lele. It’s origin can be traced back to the artisan hands of Amealco, Querétaro, MX. Lele in Otomí, an indigenous language of Mexico, means bebé or baby. During my trip, I was lucky enough to get myself one of these dolls from it’s birthplace. They are too adorable!

I know here in Chicago it doesn’t feel like spring today, but I swear it’s coming soon! Spring is my favorite season, and I also love to garden! To honor my passion for both the season and my second hobby (besides jewelry making), I decided to bring out my own line of hand painted flower pots. Check out one of many new flower pots 🪴we’ll be posting for this spring. All fully hand painted by yours truly. I am very happy that I was successfully able to do justice to our beautiful skyline and city landmarks 🌃 with this one. Who else is excited for spring?
