Last week I got to facilitate a mental health/ wellness session for folks doing important community based work of the type that comes with a high risk of secondary traumatization. We discussed nervous system states and regulation strategies. We made space for ALL different sorts of emotions/experiences, and of course did some gentle movement and a breathwork practice.
I love when I get to combine my training and knowledge from clinical social work and yoga therapy.
