a huge thank you to Marisa for inviting me out to play for my first time in milwaukee,, and on only the greatest Spook Audio Soundsystem. the love in Club Timbuktu for you was overflowing for your birthday - there's good reason your birthday party is one of the best annual celebrations.

i had so much fun sharing some of my fave selections with y'all, and I could not stop smiling from the kind words some of you shared with me afterwards. it's motivating my drive to be more active and to fall back in love with the things i enjoy - i hope we get to meet again very soon!

i’m playing in chicago for the first time ever in helping welcome subjet and mama mk to the city. it’s such a joy to get to share this evening with the talented friends i made during my first year here - you will not want to miss a minute.

Today marks a 3 year milestone of breaking the debilitating relationship and addiction I endured with alcohol for a majority of my 20s. I’ve never quite talked about it like this before - the gruesome details of how it feels to implode.

Fighting within yourself, while the outside pushes you further in.

To narrate and to celebrate, I present to you my first mix since 2020 titled “Panic Signal,” featuring a spoken word introduction written and produced by myself under the guidance of my dear friend and roommate, Thysbe. I aim to walk the listener through old rituals of withdrawal, small improvements, relapse, clarity, and new beginnings while also challenging myself to take myself to a place I dare never to return.

Thank you for your support all these years in getting better. Cheers to three years.

Suppose I’ve been quiet on this for a little bit.

This has been one of the most challenging Driftmore Music & Arts Festival to plan and execute yet, but I look forward nonetheless to doing everything to make it work for those who want, and maybe even need it. Every decision going into this festival has been with the best interest of each and every person it will affect, and I cannot wait to see this through.

I’m playing a set for you first thing Saturday morning called “Rude Awakening,” and without saying much now it will say so much then. These challenges in life are going to force you to move, to act, to laugh, to cry, to grit your teeth and to force a smile, to celebrate, and to say goodbye to the world behind you. I hope to speak eloquently about this through my selections.
