I’ve had a lot of noise in my head lately.
Most of it sounds like: ‘You’re not getting any younger.’ ‘This vocal technique is going to take years you don't have to learn.’ ‘Is it too late to be starting this chapter?’
And then there's the noise from the outside—the people who would rather try to put out your fire than find a spark of their own.
The world is always going to have a reason why you aren't 'right' for the life you’re meant for. They’ll tell you you’re too late, too old, too young, too small, or not talented enough. They’ll try to box you in and suffocate your vision before you’ve even had a chance to breathe.
But here is what I’ve realized: The 'fire' is not the struggle. It’s the forge.
The anxiety, the setbacks, and even the hollow words from the 'critics'—that’s just the heat required to melt away the parts of us that don’t belong. It’s the internal fight to keep going when your own mind (and the rest of the world) is trying to convince you to quit.
I’m right in the middle of this—learning, failing, and pushing for mastery because I REFUSE to give anyone the satisfaction of knowing they beat me. If you’re feeling that weight today, let it be the fuel that drives you forward.
Don't let them put you out. We are refined by this, not consumed. 🌑🔥

I almost didn’t post this. 🤒
To be honest, I’ve been feeling like absolute trash this week. Between this head cold and having both kids home, trying to keep the momentum going for the "Blood Moon" launch has been a struggle. It’s easy to feel like you’re failing when you have to slow down.
But I wanted to share this for anyone else who is running on empty right now. Whatever you’re working toward—don’t mistake a hard week for a finished story. We’re still standing.

For Blood Moon, it was this exact transition. It felt like the melody was already there, just waiting for the chorus to reveal itself. I'm so proud of how this is coming together.
