Attention Illinois residents.

The Senate Executive Committee has scheduled HB 5095 for a committee hearing this week. Can you please submit a witness slip in support of HB 5095? The deadline is 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6.

HB 5095 will ensure that the Illinois Secretary of State’s current self-attestation process for gender marker corrections on driver's license is established in state law. The bill also ensures that a person's gender designation form is kept confidential, protected like medical statements and only released by court order. The legislation is timely and necessary, given the increased attacks on the transgender community and the targeting of state IDs we’ve seen in other states. HB 5095 is an initiative of Equality Illinois, Legal Council for Health Justice, and the Transformative Justice Law Project of Illinois.

Happy Trans Day of Visibility! 🏳️‍⚧️

Today we celebrate the strength, beauty, and resilience of trans, nonbinary and gender non conforming people everywhere. May your day be filled with joy, pride, and the freedom to be exactly who you are.

We also hold space for those who cannot be visible today—for those whose safety, circumstances, or journeys require quiet strength. You are seen, you are valued, and you matter deeply.

From everyone with MSTN, we wish everyone a Trans Day of Visibility filled with love & hope.

With Love,
Jenna Dunn
Founder/Executive Director MSTN

¡Gran anuncio!

https://www.midsouthtransnation.org/
¿Alguna vez te has preguntado cómo puedes generar un impacto directo?

Esperamos que puedan compartir esto ampliamente.
En comunidad,

Jenna Dunn
