Mood poisoning is real, but PYM Mood Chews are coming to the rescue š« š§
September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, a cause very near and dear to the heart of PYM.
After losing his father, Robin Williams to su***de, Zak Williams found himself navigating his own mental health challenges and searching for ways to better support his mental wellbeing.
That search introduced him to the role nutrition could play in mental health and resilience. What began as a deeply personal shift became something Zak and his wife, Olivia, wanted to make more accessible to others, and ultimately became PYM: Prepare Your Mind.
This month is a reminder of why this work matters so deeply to us. Mental health support can take many forms, and our hope is to continue expanding the tools people have to care for themselves and one another, build resilience, and feel supported through whatever life brings.
If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.
You canāt eliminate stress. But you can support your bodyās ability to handle it.
Stress impacts us physiologically, which means building stress resilience isnāt just mental. Nutrition should be part of the equation, too.
Thatās why PYM exists, to help you not only survive, but thrive amidst lifeās inevitable stressors.
Mood Magnesium - helps replenish magnesium and supports nervous system function, relaxation and restorative sleep.
Mood Chews - GABA + L-Theanine support the brainās natural calming pathways when life feels overwhelming.
Attention Chews - support focus, mental clarity and sustained attention when stress has your brain going in a million directions.
Prepare your mind for whatever life throws at you.
Your body can get so used to stress that calm starts to feel uncomfortable.
When we spend enough time in a heightened state, our nervous system can begin to recognize that activation as familiar. We get used to the cortisol, adrenaline and stimulation, and reward pathways involving dopamine can reinforce the behaviors that keep us there.
So even when the stressor disappears, we may unconsciously keep reaching for the next thing that recreates that feeling: another notification, another deadline, another problem to solve.
And hereās the important part: you canāt think your way out of a physiological stress cycle.
If stress is happening in the body, we have to support the body, too.
That means sleep, movement, breath, connection, and giving the brain and nervous system the nutritional building blocks they need to regulate and respond to stress.
Itās a big part of why we created PYM: to support the physiology behind a calmer, more resilient mind.
We canāt live a life without stress, but we can break the cycle where stress becomes our baseline.

Mental Health Awareness Month may be over. The conversation doesnāt stop here.
Weāve made real progress, therapy is less stigmatized, people are talking more openly than any generation before us. And that matters enormously.
But thereās a piece that keeps getting left out even in the most progressive mental health conversations, the nutritional one.
Your brain is a biological organ that needs specific nutrients to produce the chemistry behind your mood, anxiety, and stress response. When chronic stress, poor sleep, and relentless pressure deplete those nutrients faster than you replenish them, your brain literally cannot regulate itself, regardless of how much inner work youāre doing.
This isnāt a replacement for therapy or community. Itās the foundation underneath all of it.
Start with magnesium. One of the most critical nutrients for mood regulation and one of the first depleted under stress. Thatās exactly why PYM made our Mood Magnesium, which you can find at the link in our bio.
Mental health isnāt just psychological. Itās nutritional. Both deserve a permanent place in the conversation.
Nobody talks about how physiologically activating it is to try to make friends as an adult.
Your nervous system genuinely cannot tell the difference between social vulnerability and physical threat. The sweaty palms, the tunnel vision, the urge to cancel, thatās a real stress response. And knowing that doesnāt make it easier, but it does make it less personal.
The awkward truth is that most people you admire for seeming socially confident are just doing it scared. The bar isnāt feeling ready. Itās showing up anyway.
Three things that actually move the needle: say yes to the next thing youād normally cancel. Make plans during a good window, future you may want to bail but will go anyway. And be the one who initiates.
PYM Mood Chews help turn the nervous system volume down enough that showing up feels possible, not by eliminating the discomfort, but by making it a little more workable. The rest is just reps.
Thank you .gonzalez for including PYM Mood Magnesium in your top 5 recommended magnesium brands, and for naming it your favorite nighttime magnesium.
PYM stands behind the quality of every product we make, and weāre grateful for the kind of rigorous, independent accountability that helps consumers trust what theyāre putting in their bodies every day.

We talk a lot about the individual side of burnout recovery: sleep, nutrition, boundaries, nervous system support. All of it matters.
But thereās a dimension that gets skipped in most wellness content: the relational one.
Your nervous system was designed to co-regulate with other people. Safe connection isnāt a reward you get after youāve recovered from burnout. Itās part of the mechanism by which recovery actually happens. Chronic isolation keeps cortisol elevated in ways that make even a manageable life feel like too much.
The hard part about adult connection isnāt caring. Itās the friction of making it happen consistently. Which is why the structural fix matters more than the intention. A standing time thatās already decided removes the weekly negotiation that quietly kills most adult friendships.
PYM Mood Chews support the stress of the work part, so thereās something left for the people part.
More good days are built together. š¤
